/Business News Articles/ - Albuquerque, NM, July 02, 2008 - The popular Internet research manual The Cybersleuth's Guide to the Internet has been completely updated and expanded. The new 9th edition features extensive reviews of the best investigative and legal research resources available for free on the Internet. Unlike others guides which present sites as little more than a list of links, this book offers tips on how to effectively use those sites and includes over 100 screen-shots to illustrate the step-by-step usage of many of the sites discussed.

The new 9th edition, has 40 pages of new information over the 8th edition. Each Web resource discussed in the book has been re-tested and its description updated, as have nearly all of the book's screen shots. The new 9th edition also boasts a new chapter covering free and low-cost "Technology Tools & Tips" that legal professionals can use in their practices and has also been expanded to include the newest Internet research resources such as Justia and social networking sites.

Even with all of this added information, users can still easily find the web sites they're looking for by jurisdiction, topic (e.g. Employment, Labor, or Tax Law resources), or by Web site name, by using the guide's comprehensive index. Despite growing by nearly 20% over the previous edition — there is no increase in price.

"Anyone can benefit from using The Cybersleuth's Guide to the Internet, regardless of their previous Internet usage. This guide is a useful tool for every legal professional, legal educator, law student, business person, or consumer handling their own legal or investigative matter," said Carole Levitt, the book's co-author. "For the beginning searcher, it covers many overlooked features of Web browsers, the 'mechanics' of navigating the Internet, and basic research strategies and tools. For 'power searchers,' it covers more advanced search strategies and reveals tips and tricks for getting the most out of many of the sites."

"Whether you're a business person or a legal professional, keeping pace with rapidly changing resources on the Internet can give you a leg up on your competition," continued co-author Mark Rosch. "The content of the 9th edition has been tested and re-checked immediately prior to publication to insure it's as current as possible."

The cover price of The Cybersleuth's Guide to the Internet is $59.95. Quantity discounts are available on purchases of 10 or more copies from the publisher's web site (http://www.iflpress.biz).
